December 2010 – BluTower is pleased to announce the release of its new DataSource-Lite transmitter.
The “Lite” is designed for the sub-metering market and offers either a retro-fit solution or, when packaged with a BluTower PDSM-15 meter, will offer an exceptionally competitive AMR solution to sub-metering customers.

May 2012 – Watagua River Regional Water Authority has chosen BluTower as its preferred vendor for automating its existing Neptune meters. The utility’s initial investment in Neptune meters being protected in addition to the simplicity of installation and cost were also major factors in the utility’s decision to purchase BluTower’s AMR solution.
October 2012 – Mt. Vernon Water Utility, AL is dedicated to improving the services to the residents by undertaking a complete change out of their water meters. They have chosen to automate their system with BluTower’s ESP Meter and 900 Series FastTrackIt Receiver. They have noticed an immediate return on their investment, with respect to water loss, with the installation of these new positive displacement meters. This coupled with the additional savings, in necessary man hours to read their system, makes Mt. Vernon Water Utility a very satisfied customer.
March 2013 – Utilities now have the capability of configuring BluMet Radio Meters to work with many different sizes and brands of meters. This first generation of BluMet came pre-programmed from the factory and is still an option but this new feature, using DataSet, allows for more flexibility with a water utility. DataSet is to BluMet Radio Meters as ConFigIt is to DataSource and is available for purchase. Please contact BluTower for additional information.
May 2013 – BluTower are proud to announce BluMet, a second generation Radio Meter that provides datalogging in addition to BluMet’s existing features. BluMet is capable of storing up to 90 days’ worth of hourly reads which is a vital feature for utilities when addressing customer complaints. BluTower is confident that this new capability will be a popular feature for many water utilities.
BluMet replaces ESP in our product range.
May 2013 – BluTower is happy to be working with the town of Saluda, NC on a test pilot using BluMet Radio Meters.
August 2013 – BluTower is pleased to announce the appointment of David Ratter as CEO of its North American operations. David joins BluTower after 15 years with Elster AMCO, bringing to BluTower a wealth of experience of AMR and AMI products and markets. We look forward to David leading BluTower to further success in its penetration of the market for automated metering. David will be based at BluTower’s headquarters in Ocala, Florida.
Sept 2013 – Blutower’s couplings and flanges are now NSF-61/G certified in compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act that comes in to force in January 2014. BluTower is committed to providing quality products that meet or exceed industry standards.
