BluTower joins Georgia Rural Water Association

May 2014 - BluTower is pleased to announce that they are now a member of the Georgia Rural Water Association. BluTower understands the vital role that local rural water associations play in training water and wastewater personnel and BluTower is proud to be a member of the Georgia Rural Water Association. The semi-annual GRWA conferences allow utility personnel to not only get educational credit toward their certifications but they are also able to meet with vendors in all different aspects of water and wastewater management.

Appalachian Water, Inc. 90-Day Pilot Trial

May 2014 - Appalachian Water, Inc., Blairsville, GA signs up for 90-day Test Pilot. Appalachian Water is a private corporation that maintains several systems throughout Georgia. One of their systems had only a portion automated with "the competition". Appalachian Water made the decision to terminate the project due to lack of support on reading issues that they were experiencing. The systems that Appalachian Water maintains might be considered small in the eyes of some "larger box store" meter companies but BluTower maintains the position that "size does not matter". BluTower takes pride in the fact that we provide the same level of support for customers with 1 – 100,000 endpoints. Appalachian Water knows that a functioning AMR system will reduce overhead costs and therefore has agreed to a test pilot. We, at BluTower, look forward to working with everyone at Appalachian Water on future projects.

Town of Clyde, NC 90-day Test Pilot

April 2014 - The Town of Clyde has been maintaining an aging system and BluTower was able to demonstrate to them a revenue windfall that will come with replacing their inaccurate meters. They have agreed to a 90-day test pilot with our fully integrated radio meter, BluMet. The Town of Clyde does not want to just replace old meters anymore but also wants to take advantage of the oppurtunity to automate them at the same time. It is a proven fact that newer, accurate meters will increase revenue to the utility while at the same time saving them money in the form of reduced man hours required to read the system. It's truly a "win win" situation for the Town of Clyde and BluTower is honoured to have been chosen for this test pilot.

Social Circle, GA Test Pilot

March 2014 - Social Circle, GA has signed up for a 90-day Test Pilot. Social Circle is a historic community, with a population of 5000 residents, located some 45 miles east of Atlanta in the Historic Heartlands section of Georgia. Social Circle has recently started purchasing BluTower's manual read meters from Utilities Supply and had considered automation in the past but like many smaller utilities, cost was always the deciding factor. BluTower was able to demonstrate to Social Circle how they could inexpensively automate the assorted meter brands in their system with our BluMet retrofit. Social Cirlce has agreed to a 90-day pilot with BluTower's FastTrackIT Drive-by system. The money that Social Circle will be able to save on their future system and the reduced man hours needed to read their system, are a huge part of why they have now chosen to move toward automation with BluTower.
